Standart equipement :Rucksack (50 liters should be enough for a normal bag), with rain protection included if you don't use a poncho.Sleeping :
- A light sleeping-bag should be enough in France.
- In Spain it's better to have a normal one. - Moss matress ( I never need one), but if you like. - Sport wear, may be if it can be used as pyjama. - Ears caps. Many pilgrims snort so ... Washing necessary :
- Tooth brush but tooth paste ? You can do without
- If possible, light and quick drying towel. - Normal soap used as well for washing, shaving and cleaning clothes. - Tissue paper - Small comb - Shaving cream, make up, shampoo ??? not necessary Clothes :
- T shirts : 2, long ( in winter) and short sleeves
- 2 Underwears - 3 Pairs of walking socks (double thickness). - 2 Pairs of normal socks (evening). - Sweater, or new textile warm cloth. - Strong trousers with movable legs. In winter add warm under-pants and ... Gloves. - Rain coat with trousers, Goretex if posssible but (expensive). Can be replaced by poncho ? - Hat, cap...etc. - Picknic bottle or any other bottle. I prefer water bag included in the rush bag. You drink as much as you need, while walking. It's à good way to prevent tendinitis. - Small knive with cisors and cork puller. - Small light, lighter, roll pen, note book, guide book, small sewing necessary. - Identity card, international payment card (Visa etc), - small rope and clothes pegs for drying clothes.
