Stopover, Lodging ( gîte in french).In this first phase of construction of our site, we have only worked on the path from Le Puy en Velay to Roncesvalles called “ Via Podiensis”, so, in this page we will only give some ideas for a pilgrim gait.
- Choose your stopovers in relation with the kind of meeting you want to do or you have choosed.
- The place and the putingup will be the consequence of your choice. - Normaly, after a few days, you are able to walk 25 kilometers, probably more, it depends on the difficulties of the day. - Forecast breathing times for the days you will walk to great meeting, mainly to the main sanctuaries ( Conques, Rocamadour for example). - Don’t mistake about putingup and we agree what Jacques Clouteau writes in his guide “ Miam-miam dodo”, but it would be too long to develop here..
